From LBC to Virgin, Century to Galaxy, Trent to establishing Lincs FM; Free Radio to Gem 106 and BBC local. From newstalk to CHR formats; from AC to built speech. Programmer, leader and manager. He has extensive research experience; and also regulatory experience from his years at the UK Radio Authority (now part of Ofcom).
From a fresh pair of ears to operational insight; from handling a quick project to tackling a management challenge; from presenter coaching to brand-building, commercial programming challenges or full strategic station reviews, David can assist. As an ex-regulator, he is also equipped to assemble wide-ranging reports, which he has done for several key bodies. He is the author of the reference book 'Radio Secrets'; and 'Radio Moments', which offers a very personal account of radio history.
David also enjoys a passion for the history of the medium, collecting and documenting treasured radio archive content and disseminating it through his #radiomoments and 'Radio Moments - This Week in History'/'Radio Moments Conversations' podcasts.
He is also a broadcaster and independent producer, chair of Notts TV; a member of the Audio Content Fund panel and co-founder of the new UK radio station for baby boomers, Boom Radio.
